The 45º angle is the optimal contact point for every forehand. This angle refers to when you the player are facing the net, whereby the 45º angle is basically facing the net post. It is at this point (the 45º) you have the most perfect view of the ball, most balance and the best disguise of your shot with regards to shot placement.
