One of the biggest questions tennis players have never seemed to answer specifically is shown here to be at the 45º angle from the player facing the net. This 45º hitting point is also the balance point of the entire stroke. It is optimal for depth perception, accuracy and disguise of the shot placement. The 45º angle is the optimal contact point for every forehand. This angle refers to when you the player are facing the net, whereby the 45º angle is basically facing the net post. It is at this point (the 45º) you have the most perfect view of the ball, most balance and the best disguise of your shot with regards to shot placement.
